What is the difference between Class D and Class D/N hi-vis?

Class D garments use fluorescent fabric for daytime visibility. Class D/N adds retroreflective tape for night-time visibility under headlights. Most NZ roading and traffic management roles require Class D/N.

Can hi-vis clothing be machine washed?

Yes. Use mild detergent, avoid bleach and fabric softener (which degrade fluorescent fabric and reflective tape), and wash on a gentle cycle. Air dry or tumble dry low.
